The total amount of Antiquorum Auction September 14th, 2011 has reached $2,792,050. It contained only Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces. There were presented 319 rare collectible timepieces which drew attention of 353 registered bidders, both by internet and by phone. The highest prices were achieved 78% from items sold by lot and 119% sold by value. The main interest was noticed in Patek Philippe and Rolex watches.

The Patek Philippe ref. 2499 watch (lot 319) achieved the highest price. It was sold for $374,500 after a short struggle among the bidders from internet, on phone and the ones presented in room.

Another complicated timepiece from this line fell among top lots. It was the Patek Philippe ref. 1436 (lot 318), which is a unique chronograph with transitional Tiffany dial. It collected $284,500.

Another expensive wristwatch was the Patek Philippe ref. 3971 (lot 109). Sold for $116,500, it’s an interminable calendar chronograph made from 18K yellow gold.

The Patek Philippe ref. 5038 (lot 108) has also collected remarkable donations. It’s limited edition white-gold watch, which sold for $56,250.

The outcome from the auction once again proved the strong interest which Rolex Sports watches generate among collectors. The impressive price was obtained by the Tiffany & Co retailed 14K yellow gold Rolex, Ref. 6241 (lot 45). It reached $110,500. The wristwatch is a rare and fine piece of art.

The same price-$110,500 was gained by the vintage Rolex Ref. 6241 (lot 44), 18K yellow gold Paul Newman.

A “James Bond” Big Crown watch from Rolex went for $76,900. It’s the Rolex ref. 6538 (lot 230), which is a refined vintage timepiece.

In honour of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Anniversary in 2012 all their watches gained noticeably high prices. For instance, the limited edition watch “Royal Oak City of Sails” (lot 106) was sold for $46,250.

Another Rolex fine wristwatch, the Rolex Ref. 1019 (lot 228) acquired $45,000. It’s a rare water-resistant timepiece with stainless Rolex Oyster bracelet.

Finally, the Rolex Ref. 218206 (lot 37) a superlative Platinum Day-Date 2 chronograph watch was sold for $43,750.
