The Only Watch 2007 wristwatch auction is to be held in Monaco on September 20 at 6 p.m. The charity event is to support Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research. It will unite the efforts of 35 most prestigious watchmaking brands that are donating their unique pieces, prototypes and first in series timepieces.
The initial edition of Only Watch was organized two years ago, in 2005. Then the charity event rose the amazing 1.900 000 Euro donated to the research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The raised funds significantly contributed to increasing of people’s awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and supported its therapeutic issues.
The organizers of the Only Watch 2007 edition will use the same ideas that brought remarkable success to the 2005 project. The charity event is committed to defending a noble cause. Thanks to the event’s organizers efforts more children who urgently need the treatment will have hopes of becoming adults. The scientists say the first clinical results are quite promising, so the necessary treatment may soon be found.
