The manufacturing capacity of the famous luxury brand Chopard is about to expand as the Chopard Group purchases new land and facilities. Thus the company consolidates its production that is vertically integrated and which includes 40 different professions. The land and buildings were purchased in Geneva and Fleurier.
It is worth mentioning that the company registered significant growth during recent years. Chopard currently already owns 2 vertically integrated production sites that are located in Switzerland and one being located in Germany.
The luxury brand saw the roots of its establishment back in 1974 in Meyrin, an industrial zone, where the company in short period developed its headquarters and workshops. Chopard’s latest purchase was a neighboring building with 3,200 square meters of free space. The building was placed on a 9,800 square-meter plot of land.
In 2006 the company built a new hall featuring 2,000 square meters of production area. All in all Chopard owns 24,000 square meters of floor space that is placed on land plots totaling 64,000 square meters. As for the production the company masters 40 different professions in-house.
Chopard created over a hundred new jobs in Switzerland during this year. The luxury group has also registered a growth in terms of personnel. Currently the company employs 1,650 people in all of its branches worldwide.
Chopard looks forward to provide additional jobs in 2008.
