One of the best and most beautiful watches which will be auctioned during the Only Watch 2011 this September in Monaco is the amazing Bovet 7-Day Tourbillon watch. Containing the Reverse Hand-Fitting, this Bovet watch is not only a refined work of art but it also presents some unique features.
One of these features is its ability to come forward in three capacities, it’s like 3 watches in 1. It can easily be worn as a wrist watch or kept as a pocket watch, and even can be formed into a table clock.
The other interesting feature of the Bovet 7-Day Tourbillon watch is having two dials on front and back of the watch with hour and minute hands on both sides.
The curious decorations on the watch took about three hundred hours of work to be complete and contain a dragon on the front and a phoenix on the back. In Chinese mythology it is believed that the dragon represents the emperor and the phoenix represents the empress. The reason of using these creatures on the dial is that the watchmaker is of Chinese roots.
Another feature which can distinguish this watch during the Only Watch auction 2011 is the colour of its hands. They come in blue on both sides together with a window which shows this beautiful tourbillon outline. The front dial at the 9o’clock position shows also a small power-reserve window. This unique Bovet watch is powered by a Dimier 1738, from Haute Horlogerie Manufacturer, with mechanical and hand-wound movement.
The Bovet 7-Day Tourbillon comes in 44mm case and is made by Amadeo. It is made of 18k rose gold and can be presented either with a gold bracelet or a black alligator strap and has 18k gold chain.
