The traditional for
A new Panerai model 2010 Radiomir Oro Rosa 42 mm is this year released model, which has already managed to become a part of Officine Panerai’s history. Panarai Radiomir Oro Rosa 42 mm features the unique design of an icon in luxury and at the same time sport watches.
The model fits the new mechanical movement the P.999, designed and produced at the Neuchatel manufacture.
The watch diameter is only 12 lignes and its thickness surprises you with 3.4 millimetres. But despite of this fact, the new hand-wound Radiomir Oro Rosa 42 mm movement features 19 jewels, a 60-hour power reserve and a balance wheel oscillating at 21,600 alternations/hour.
Two sophisticated details fitting the P.999 movement are set in pink gold which perfectly suits the watch design. The so-called ‘swan’s neck’ device regulates the workings and allows for micrometrical adjustment of the active length of the spring.
The case in pink gold has 42 mm in diameter, slightly smaller than the first historic Panarai Radiomir watches. And it was the new movement which helped to reduce Radiomir Oro Rosa thickness. That is why the watch diameter of 42 mm appeared in the official name – Panarai Radiomir Oro Rosa 42 mm.
The small polished bezel creates a pleasing contrast with the watch dial. The traditional for Panerai watches “sandwich” structure of the dial and the Radiomir Oro Rosa 42 mm dial dark brown color is emphasized by the satin-finished gold. Moreover, a color tone is enhanced by the anti-scratch and anti-glare sapphire crystal.
The luminescent and plated in pink gold index-shaped hands and perpetually-moving small seconds hand in the auxiliary dial at nine o’clock complement the case material and the dark brown alligator strap with a pink gold pin buckle. The watch has water-proof about 100 metres. But the produced number of Radiomir Oro Rosa 42 mm is only 500 pieces.
